You ran as fast as you could. Hearing the laugh of the giant being persuing you. It really wasn't hard for them to keep up. You had to hide, fast. Before you tired out and it caught you!
Why is the being chasing you?
A) You aren't in any danger. It's your mate/spouse/boyfriend/girlfriend and you're playing cat and mouse.

The creatures were all anthro creatures that could be pets for people with the resources to care for them.
